Here is a better picture of the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. This is my personal favorite, it's just the right ammount of spice and the ranch dressing for sauce makes it's really good. photo by melarky Give a medal for this photo Add photo

Servings
Original recipe makes 6 Servings
1 .25 oz envelopeActive Dry Yeast; (or 2 1/2 tsp)
1 cupWarm Water
2 TbspOlive Oil
1 tspSugar
1/4 tspSalt
2 1/2 cupsUnbleached All-Purpose Flour; (can substitute bleached if you prefer)
1 handfulCornmeal; (for dusting, this is optional)

Easy No Rise Pizza Crust Preparation

Preheat oven to 425* F. In your mixer, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the olive oil, sugar, salt and 1 1/2 cups flour. Mix with flour hook until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a firm dough. Turn onto floured surface, cover and let rest for 10 minutes.

Spray a 12-inch or larger pizza pan with non-stick cooking spray and dust with cornmeal. Roll dough out to desired size and place on pan. Do not let it rise. Place in oven and bake for 10-14 minutes, until lightly browned. Add your toppings and bake for 10-15 minutes longer.

Notes

This crust freezes really well. Simply do the first bake, then let it cool, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap, and toss it in the freezer. When you're ready to use it, simply take it out of the freezer, unwrap it, top it and do the second bake cycle until the crust is lightly browned. You could even top it after you let it cool, and then freeze it with it's toppings making your own ready to go frozen pizza.

  • We made 2 pizza's this night. A regular Pepporoni and Olive one, and then a Buffalo Chicken one with Ranch Dressing for the sauce instead of Tomato Pizza Sauce. They were great! photo by melarky melarky

I posted this recipe. I tried out a bunch of different pizza dough recipes until I finally found this one. It's perfect, it tastes great and it is really quick to throw together (most other recipes required a lot of time for the dough to just sit there, usually overnight, to become the correct consistency. While those doughs are tastey, they aren't very practical if you want to make pizza quickly for a family, and honestly, this dough tastes pretty much just as great as those doughs). Give this one a try.
