Original recipe makes 5 Servings
1 lb.boneless chuck
1 lb.canned tomatoes
1 1/2 poundpkg frozen stew veggies
1 tablespoonsugar
3 tablespoonsquick tapioca
5 ouncesCanned sliced water chestnuts
1 tablespoonsalt
1/4 teaspoonpepper
1/4 cupred wine
1 pinchbay leaves
1 pinchgarlic
1 pinchoregano
1 pinchparsley

Five Hour Stew Preparation

CUT MEAT INTO 1 1/2 INCH CUBES. PLACE MEAT INTO A CASSEROLE. MIX ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT VEGGIES AND POUR OVER MEAT. POUR FROZEN VEGGIES OVER MEAT. COVER TIGHTLY AND COOK @ 250 DEGREES FOR 5 HOURS. DO NOT STIR!!

Notes

May substitute lamb or veal in place of the beef.
