Lasagna
Original recipe makes 8 Servings
| 1 mediumonion; chopped |
| 3 tablespoonsolive oil |
| 1 1/2 poundsground beef |
| 1 clovegarlic; minced |
| 2 canstomato sauce; 8 oz |
| 1 cantomato paste; 6 oz |
| 1 cupwater |
| 1 teaspoonsalt |
| 1 teaspoonoregano leaves |
| 1/2 teaspoonpepper |
| 1/2 teaspoonsugar |
| 12 ouncesNoodles; lasagna |
| 1 poundricotta cheese |
| 1/2 poundmozzarella cheese; thinly sliced |
| 1/2 cupparmesan cheese; shredded |
Lasagna Preparation
Cook onion, beef, garlic. Drain fat.
Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water.
Add salt, oregano, pepper, and sugar.
Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
Cook lasagna noodles. Drain.
Arrange 1/3 of noodles in bottom of 9x13 pan, spread 1/3 of tomato sauce over noodles, top with 1/3 of ricotta and mozzarella cheeses. Repeat this two times. Top with Parmasean cheese.
Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
