1 1/3 Sticks butter
NO CAROLINAS HISTORIC REST
3 SmallEggs
1 9-inchpie crust; unbaked
1 1/3 cSugar
1/3 tsSalt

Angus Barn Chocolate Chess Pie Preparation

Melt butter and chocolate over boiling water. Mix sugar, eggs, salt and vanilla; add to chocolate mixture. Pour into pie shell and bake at 375 deg. for about 35 minutes. From: "North Carolinas Historic Restaurants"

This is not the original chocolate chess pie recipe. Go to the www.angusbarn.com website to get the authentic recipe. The REAL recipe uses 2 squares of chocolate, 2 beaten eggs, 1 cup of sugar, 1 stick of butter, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 dash of salt. This recipe will get you a wobbly mush of chocolate suitable icecream.
