1 bagPopcorn; plain
1 stickbutter
1 cuplight brown sugar
1/4 cupkaro light syrup
1/2 tspsalt
1 tspvanilla
1/2 tspbaking soda

Caramel Popcorn Preparation

Pop popcorn. It is best to use loose kernels and not a bag of pop corn. Spread across the counter and make sure to discard all the unpopped kernels. Place in a large bowl that will fit in the microwave.

In a saucepan, mix butter, brown sugar, karo syrup and salt, and bring to a boil for 3 minutes

Add the vanilla and the baking soda. Mixture will look as if it will boil over in pan, but it will not. Remove from heat and pour over the popcorn.

Mix well, and place the popcorn bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds 4 times, mixing well in between. Enjoy

Sorry. Last time I made it I think I did a cup of kernels and used an air popper. I guess two bags of bagged popcorn would do just fine. One bag would still be good too. You'll just have more Carmel to cover the corn.
