Skillet Mac and Cheeseburger
This is a family favorite. I like to serve it with a side of mixed vegetables and either biscuits or dinner rolls.
"Wow! Like Hamburger Helper but without all the artificial stuff. Super easy & on the table in 15 min. Used a bit less cheese as suggested below. Served with steamed broccoli. " - Lynn1775Yield: 6 Servings Ready in 45 minutes

1/2 lbelbow macaroni; (small shells work too)
1 lbground beef; (ground turkey also works)
1 packetbrown gravy; (makes 1 cup)
1 lbVelveeta Cheese; block
1/4-1/2 cupmilk
Skillet Mac and Cheeseburger Preparation
Prepare pasta according to package directions.
While macaroni is cooking, brown ground beef in a skillet until all pink is gone. Drain grease and return beef to skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle brown gravy over beef and pour in 1 cup water. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to medium and stir until thickened.
When macaroni is done, drain water and add macaroni to the skillet. Add milk to skillet and stir to combine. Add cheese. Place lid on skillet for about 1 minute to allow cheese to melt. Remove lid and stir to combine. Add another 1/4 cup of milk if mixture seems thick and heat another minute longer. Serve with fresh veggies & biscuits.
Notes
*you can substitute 2-4 cups of your favorite shredded cheese or even 1/2 lb of American Cheese. I like it better with Cheddar or Velveeta, but I occasionally make it with American for my kids when they ask. They will even put ketchup on since they were the ones who thought it tastes like a cheeseburger...lol!
