Chop Suey Casserole
Ingredients
| 1 tsButter or margerine |
| 1 lbGround beef |
| 3/4 cCelery; chopped |
| 3 tbInstant minced onion |
| 1 1/4 cWater |
| 1/2 cUncooked converted rice |
| 1/2 tsSalt |
| 1 cnCondensed chicken with rice |
| 1 cn(4 oz) slice mushrooms; |
| 1 tbBrown sugar; packed |
| 2 tbSoy sauce |
Chop Suey Casserole Preparation
Cook and stir ground beef, celery and onion in skillet until beef is brown; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. OVEN METHOD: Pour into greased 2 qt. casserole dish. Cook uncovered in 350 degree oven 30 minutes; stir. Cook until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes longer. RANGE TOP METHOD: Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
