Straight from the book "Cook Like A Man, " by Marlboro. This is an easy one-pot meal to cook while camping (prepared ahead of time)in a dutch oven over lowest part of campfire, or in a slow cooker in your kitchen.

Original recipe makes 8 Servings
1 (15 oz.) canPork and Beans; Entire Contents
1 (15 oz.) canPink Beans; Rinsed and Drained
1 (15 oz.) canKidney Beans; Rinsed and Drained
1/2 lb.Bacon; Cooked and Chopped
2 cupsSmoked Ham; Chopped
1 largeGreen Pepper; Chopped
1 largeYellow Onion; Chopped
1 smallGreen Chili Pepper; Chopped
1 cupLight Brown Sugar
1/2 cupBBQ Sauce
3 clovesGarlic; Chopped

High Country BBQ Beans Preparation

Preheat grill to medium heat. Combine all ingredients in a large pot; mix well. Simmer covered for several hours; stir often. Remove from heat when vegetables are soft. If making in a crock pot/slow cooker, cook on high for 2 hours 30 minutes.

Notes

At First, it may seem very thin and lacking liquid. It will thicken to a nice consistency after about an hour, to where you start to see and smell it all come together.
