Macaroni and Cheddar Salad Preparation
In large pan cook macaroni in a large amount of boiling salted water until tender, drain, rinse under cold water until cool.
Toss with cheese, green pepper, peas and onion. Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, add milk, stir in vinegar, mustard, salt. Season with pepper to taste. Toss with macaroni mixture. Cover and chill several hours.
Can add 1/2 cup sweet relish and 1 cup chopped celery if desired - we prefer it without. Original recipe called for 1 cup each mayonnaise and sour cream, with 3 cups pasta but I think it's too much.
