Perfect Summer Side dish! Always a big hit!

"Made this for my boyfriend's birthday cook out. Everyone loved it! Tastes better than the grocery store's. I like to add a drop of extra mustard to my plate for the extra spice/flavor! Perfect creamy summer cook out side dish or lunch."

Ingredients

Are you making this?
4 cups medium shell pasta
2 cups cubed Cheddar cheese
1 green bell pepper; chopped
1 cup frozen green peas; thawed
1/3 cup onion; chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
2 teaspoon prepared mustard
4 teaspoon vinegar
3/4 teaspoon salt
ground pepper; to taste

Preparation

In large pan cook macaroni in a large amount of boiling salted water until tender, drain, rinse under cold water until cool.

Toss with cheese, green pepper, peas and onion. Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, add milk, stir in vinegar, mustard, salt. Season with pepper to taste. Toss with macaroni mixture. Cover and chill several hours.

Notes

Can add 1/2 cup sweet relish and 1 cup chopped celery if desired - we prefer it without. Original recipe called for 1 cup each mayonnaise and sour cream, with 3 cups pasta but I think it's too much.

This is delicious! Easy to make & travels well. Kind of combines pasta & pea salad into one.
