In a heavy saucepan, toast the following ground spices together over a low heat for 4 - 5 minutes: allspice, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, cumin, fenugreek, nutmeg, and ginger.
Shake or stir to prevent burning.
Add the cayenne pepper, paprika, black pepper, and salt and continue toasting and stirring for 10 - 15 minutes.
Cool and store in a tightly covered glass jar.
