Baker's One Bowl Cake
Ingredients
| 3 squares baker~quotes semi-sweet baking chocolate |
| 6 Tablespoonsbutter or margarine |
| 3/4 cupsugar |
| 2 Eggs |
| 1 teaspoonvanilla |
| 1 1/4 cupsflour; divided |
| 1/2 teaspoonbaking soda |
| 3/4 cupswater |
| chocolate; glaze: |
| 3 squares baker~quotes semi-sweet chocolate |
| 2 Tablespoonswhipping cream |
| 1 Tablespoonbutter |
| berries,; nuts or whipped cream |
Baker's One Bowl Cake Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Microwave chocolate and butter in a large microwavable bowl on HIGH for 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Stir in sugar until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, beating with an electric mixer on low speed until well blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Add ? cup of the flour, and baking soda; mix well. Add remaining cup of flour alternately with water, beating until well blended after each addition. Pour evenly into 1 greased and floured 9-inch cake pan.
Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely on a wire rack and drizzle with chocolate glaze.
To make chocolate glaze: Combine all ingredients and microwave on HIGH 1 to 2 minutes, or until mixture is melted. Stir until well blended and drizzle on top of cooled cake.
