| 3 cupssugar |
| 1 cupsour cream |
| 3 cupsall-purpose flour |
| 1/2 teaspoonbaking soda |
| 6 Eggs |
| 1 teaspoonvanilla |
Grandma Paul's Sour Cream Pound Cake Preparation
Preheat oven to 325 degrees(F). Cream butter and sugar together; add sour cream. Sift together flour and baking soda together. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
If desired, frost with cream cheese frosting. Mix together 1 stick butter, 1 brick cream cheese, 1 pound box confectioner's sugar, 1/2 teaspoon almond extract, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Allow cake to cool then top with a thick layer of frosting.
