This is definately a MUST HAVE!!!! The chipotle bbq sauce is amazing.

"WOW, what a great recipe! So easy to put together and tasting DELICIOUS! We loved the BBQ sauce blend and it really packed a punch with the flavors. I made a seperate batch for the kiddies without the chili and it was a hit, TY!"

20 eachShrimp; 21-25 count, shelled, deviened
1/2 poundBacon; partially cooked and cut in half
1/2 cupBBQ sauce
1/4 cupcanola oil
3 tablespoonslemon juice
1/2 ounceDijon mustard
3 tablespoonschipotle pepper in adobo
1/2 teaspoonred chili flake
1/4 teaspooncayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoonblack pepper
5 bamboo skewers; (5 to 8)

Bacon Wrapped Prawns with Chipotle Bbq Sauce Preparation

Soak bamboo skewers in water, to keep from burning during grilling.

Cook bacon partially, cut in half, and let cool on paper towel. Wrap bacon around shrimp, and skewer with bamboo through the point where bacon ends meet, to keep from unraveling. Skewer 3 to 5 shrimp per bamboo.

Combine all ingredients in blender, except bacon and shrimp, and puree. Separate the sauce in half, one for basting one for dipping.

Cook bacon wrapped shrimp on grill over medium heat. When shrimp begin to turn pink, begin basting with chipotle sauce.

Notes

Make sure you don't overcook the bacon otherwise you can't wrap the shrimp!

Amazing, favorite appetizer of the party, should of made 3x the amount. I forgot to buy cayenne so I used Cajun and served them individually on tooth picks. Baked on a rack in the oven.
