Servings
Original recipe makes 6 Servings
1 1/2 lbsGround Beef
2 Eggs
1 Small White Onion; chopped
10-12 Saltine Crackers
1/4 tspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
1 tspGround Sage
4 ozKetchup

My Mother's Best Meatloaf Recipe Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat the two eggs in a small bowl and set aside. Place all other ingredients besides the eggs and the ketchup together with a fork in a large bowl. Add the ketchup, and mix well.

Crush the Saltine Crackers well, and add those and the eggs in with the other ingredients and mix together well. The mixture should be moist but not too wet. If it's too wet, add more crackers, and if it is too dry, add just a little bit of milk.

Place the mixture into a lightly greased bread loaf pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes

Notes

Drizzle the top of the finished loaf with ketchup for flavor and a lovely accent
