Ingredients

Are you making this? 
1 package Ground Beef; (We use Market Ground Beef)
1/2 cup Ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Eggs
1/3 cup crushed saltines
1 small onion
1/4 tsp ginger
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Original recipe makes 6 Servings

Preparation

In a 5x9 greased pan mix the brown sugar and ketchup. In a separate bowl mix all other ingredients and add a bit more ketchup (just a squeeze or so). Mix it up and add it to the top of the brown sugar and ketchup. Bake for 1 hour at 350.

Notes

Make sure the juices run clear when done. Check the middle to make sure it is consistent with the sides.

So good!! But a quick note... When you say '1 package' of ground beef, I'm guessing now that that's some other form than a pound?? Because I've only ever seen ground beef in 1 or 2 pound packages, except for giant value packs. 1 pound was definitely not right for this... I doctored with a bunch more crackers (I used reduced fat Ritz) and some Panko, and finally got it out of the soupy consistency it was in, lol. Added in some Worcestershire as well. Was afraid it was going to be awful, but it came out SO good!! Will definitely make again, but will use 2 pounds of ground beef. :-)

this recipe truly is for non meatloaf lovers! it is sooo good and i have terrible memories of meatloaf as a kid :) our whole family enjoys it!
