Seafood Gumbo, Brian
|4 quarts shrimp stock; crab stock or fish stock|
|1 tablespoonCreole seasoning blend|
|1 teaspoondried thyme leaves|
|2 bay leaves|
|1 1/3 cupsonions; chopped|
|1 cupcelery; chopped|
|1 cupbell pepper; chopped|
|2 pounds shrimp|
|1 teaspoonsblack pepper|
|1 10oz. package sliced okra|
|1 cupparsley; chopped|
|2/3 cupsgreen onions; chopped|
|1 prepared roux to taste|
Seafood Gumbo, Brian Preparation
1. Cook onion, celery, and bell pepper until tender in small amount of oil.
2. In large pot, combine cooked vegetables, roux, seafood, okra, and seasonings.
3. Simmer at least one hour.
4. Add parsley, and green onion tops before serving.
