"Couldn't find pork butt so I used the shoulder. Easy and yummy. Will def make again. - pork shoulder was 3 1/2 lbs, only used about half a bottle of BBQ sauce, u can always add more. 1 bottle would have been too much for me."

Preparation

The day before (if possible) coat the pork liberally with a BBQ seasoning ( I Like Maple smokehouse by Grill mates) then cover and refrigerate till the next day.

On the day of rough chop the onion and few cloves of garlic and put in the bottom of the slow cooker and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add the liquid smoke and then drop the pork into the slow cooker and fill 2/3 of the way full with water (do not over fill). Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours. Then take the bone out and scoop all the meat out. Drain the liquid and discard onions and garlic. Then place the meat back in the slow cooker and pull the meat apart using 2 forks. Add the BBQ sauce and mix let it heat up a little the scoop it on to hamburger rolls and serve with Cole slaw...
