Simple apple mixture that I created as a topping for oatmeal, but also works beautifully in waffles, danishes or coffee cakes, crepes or just about anything else you want to top off with a lil' fall flare.

Apple Oatmeal Topping Preparation
1) Dice clean apple into petite cubes and place in a medium saucepan. Add brown sugar and cinnamon and gently toss until thoroughly mixed.
2) Cook over medium-high heat until sauce begins to form. (Juices will naturally sweat from the apples.) Reduce heat and simmer additional 4-5 minutes until sauce just begins to thicken and apples are tender.
