Original recipe makes 10 Servings
1 1 lbround brie cheese
2 tablespoonsCuracao, Cointreau, Cognac or orange brandy
1/3 cupdried apricots; cut into 1/4 inch strips
3 tablespoonsdried cranberries or golden raisins
3 tablespoonspistachios or pine nuts
lettuce leaves for serving
Toasted thin baguette slices or crackers

Baked Brie with Pistachios and Dried Fruit Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Place the cheese round on a rimmed baking sheet. Prick the top with a fork in a dozen places and drizzle with 1 1/2 teaspoons of the liqueur.

In a bowl, toss the remaining liqueur with the apricots, cranberries and pistachios. Scatter the fruit mixture evenly over the top of the round. Bake until the cheese warms and softens, 8 to 10 minutes. Using a wide spatula, transfer the round to a plate lined with lettuce leaves. Serve with baguette slices or crackers.

Try canned whole cranberry sauce w/orange. Use nuts but brown them and deglaze with brandy or Cointreau. Add nuts to the cranberries. Bake Brie first for 10 or so. Then top w/mixture and bake longer
