Original recipe makes 6 Servings
1 kgPotatoes; boiled and mashed
For Seasoning
2 Sprigs curry leaves; chopped
Salt; to taste
Lemon; (juice of)
1 tsTurmeric
2 Red chiles; broken
2 tsBlack mustard seeds
2 tsSambar powder
4 tsBlack gram dal
4 tbCoconut oil

Urulakazhangu Kaarakari (Spicy Potato Curry) Preparation

Heat oil and add mustard seeds, black gram dal and red chilies. When brown, add turmeric and curry leaves. Fry for a minute and add mashed potatoes, salt and sambar powder. Cook on a low fire till dry. Add lemon juice and mix well. Serve hot.
