This is a very delicious cake I was introduced to by a friend of mine in high school. I have kept this recipe to myself far too long.
Preheat the oven at 350 degrees.
Start your mix by creaming together the Crisco shortening with the sugar. Then individually add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each egg. Then mix in the vanilla & milk to create a "wet mix" bowl.
In another bowl mix the flour, baking powder, and salt to create the dry mix.
Slowly mix the dry into the wet mix bowl until they are thoroughly mixed together.
Then grease a large baking pan (I recommend an angel food cake pan). As you pour your batter into the pan (about 1/4 poured in) start to sprinkle in the "side bowl" mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Slowly swirl this in with the remaining batter. Then bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
You must use Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening otherwise it will not taste as delicious as it should. (This was told to me by the family who introduced me to it, and I don't dare mess with perfection.)
