1 TDry Yeast
1/2 cupWater; warm
1 cupMilk; Scalded
1/4 cupShortening
1/4 cupSugar
3/4 cupPotato; Mashed
6 cupsFlour
1 tVanilla
1 lbConfectioner Sugar
pinch Salt
6 tbsWater; Hot
2 Eggs; Slightly beaten

Glazed Potato Donuts Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine milk, sugar, shortening, and salt. Stir in yeast, potatoes, and eggs. Gradually add enough flour to make soft dough; knead until smooth. Place in lightly covered bowl and grease the top. Let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours.Roll 1/2 inch thickness;cut. Cover and let rise until it's doubled in size.(it will take about 30 mins.) Then, deep fry each side until golden brown.
