(Easy version) Baked BBQ Chicken Breasts Preparation
DRY RUB: Mix equal parts Brown Sugar, Paprika, and Garlic Salt. Smoked paprika is preferred but regular works just fine to, and if your watching your sodium replace the Garlic Salt with Garlic powder. I usually make a lot of this dry rub at one time and keep it in a air tight spice jar to use for future dinners.
Prep chicken by removing any excess fat and lightly coat all pieces with the dry rub.
Preheat and cook at 350 degrees Farenheit, Place chicken Breasts in a large baking dish with a cover, place a piece of butter on top of each breasts, cover and cook for about 40 minutes or until close to done, remove cover and pour BBQ sauce over chicken and turn your oven to low broil, place chicken (uncovered) into broiler for about 5 minutes or until sauce has started to bubble and char just a little bit (Be really carefull at this stage, if you leave them in the broiler for even a minute to long they can start to burn). let cool slightly and enjoy :)
Suggested Side dishes: Mashed potatoes and Corn, Macaroni & Cheese casserole, Rice pilaf and broccoli with cheese.
