tastylove ,I had some very large bananas to use up, and made this batter. Adjusted to accommodate for a little more banana than the recipe called for, and ended up with two VERY GOOD loaves. One for the freezer! :)2y
bgw ,This bread was easy to bake, tasted great and rose really well; I made lower sugar/carb version by substituting 1/3 c flour with whole wheat flour and 1/2 sugar with Stevia (generic). Added half banana extra because it was there and fresh blueberries!3y

gna8 ,I've had better luck with other banana bread recipes. I had to cook it longer to get the center done, and the edges turned out dry. I think next time I'll add one more banana for moisture and cook it on a slightly lower temperature. Brown sugar might help with added moisture as well.7y
sofiacampbell ,I loved it! I will definitely keep this s recipe. HEB did not have unsweetened apple sauce for a few weeks, so I had to use the one with cinnamon. Therefore, I reduced sugar, used 1/2 cup of brown sugar. It still came out very pleasant and sweet enough for my taste 😍7y

chris10leigh ,I used the dark brown sugar (1 cup) and I used sea salt instead. and used 5 very brown bananas. I did not follow the mixing directions. :) I mixed it in order down the recipe! I'm a rebel. It came out great!10y
susieq_64 ,I just made this and it smells amazing. I put it in 2 smaller loaf pans and it took 40 minutes to bake. I added cinnamon & chopped walnuts as well. Can't wait to give it a taste once it cools down!!!!10y
fernann55 ,This is the BEST banana bread I have made in ages. As I didn't have apple sauce I used pear sauce. I also lined my pan with parchment paper rather than spray. I don't know if that made the difference but this bread is incredibly moist without the two toned color in my finished bread. I had place my bread in the oven and after a few minutes I realized I had forgotten to add the vanilla. Since there was already a thin layer forming I chose to just sprinkle the vanilla over the top. Still taste excellent. Thank you for sharing your recipe.10y
uniqueheart ,I have made this bread with white flour and whole wheat with nuts with out nuts and it's all very good. Always so soft and sweet :) Im sure chocolate chips or cinnimon would be great in it too.10y
