Original recipe makes 36
2 cFlour
3/4 cBrown sugar
2 Eggs
1 cApplesauce
1 tsAlmond extract
1 cRaisins; optional
1 calmonds; Ground
1 1/2 cOatmeal
1/2 cButter
1 tsBaking soda
3/4 cSugar
1 tsVanilla extract
1 cPecan; pieces; optional

Applesauce Cookies #1 Preparation

Cream together butter and sugars. Add almond extract, eggs, vanilla and applesauce. Mix well. Blend in flour, oatmeal, baking soda and almonds. If desired, add pecan pieces and/or raisins. Drop by teaspoons onto Teflon-coated cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Yields 3 dozen cookies.
