Cinnamon Roll Cake

Warm and delicious... just like a cinnamon roll!

"This is really delicious, but no substitute for actual rolls. Like many before me I had to make some adjustments.
Topping: 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar not 1 Cup
Glaze: Everything changed. I used 1 Cup Powdered Sugar, 1/4 Cup Milk and 1 Cap Vanilla
Cook Time: was 45 Minutes for mine.

Ingredients

3 cups Flour
1/4 tsp Salt
1 cup Sugar
4 tsp Baking powder
1 1/2 cup Milk
2 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Butter; Melted
Topping:
1 cup Butter; Softned
1 cup Brown sugar
2 Tbsp Flour
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
Glaze
2 cups Powdered sugar
5 Tbsp Milk
1 tsp Vanilla extract

Original recipe makes 12 Servings

Preparation

Mix everything together except for the butter. Slowly stir in the melted butter and pour into a greased 9x13 pan. For the topping, mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Drop evenly over the batter and swirl with a knife. Bake at 350 for 28-32 minutes.

While warm drizzle the glaze over the cake.

It was ok. It does taste more like a cake than a true cinnamon roll. Personally prefer the real homemade dough of a true cinnamon roll.

Very delicious. Not too sweet, just perfect. Made it for several Christmas parties and it was a huge hit! I too modified the icing like mentioned above

As others users have said, the next time I would add a lot more cinnamon. Also I might add chopped apple, wouldn't that make a lovely autumn cake?

I would rate this off the charts if there wasn't a limit :'( it's too yummy I love it so much I cry everyday I don't have it (not really) but its very tempting to make but a lot of butter is the stopper lol, lasts about 2 weeks for time length and normally eaten in 3 days now if you don't like this recipe where's your taste buds well some might not like cinnamon but I it and if not for my parents I would add a cup lol, thank goodness I am stopped I be dust in the wind if I put that much on but I normally sneak 1-4 cup more in there I have 1-4 more eaten in dry form lol I beat the cinnamon challenge wallioop and not only that but I think if I had the resources I make two batches but I don't not like my parents made of money or butter or flour :( lol this is the best recipes ever! You are awesome cook and so much for my mother she said it looked like barf I told her wrong when she had her first bite and I watched and recorded it, hahaha proved her wrong you can't judge a book by its cover, love the recipe though its very good!
