Irish Soda Bread Preparation
Heat oven to 400F / 200C or gas mark 6
I don't use as much salt as in the reciepy it's just a guide.
Tip the flour salt and bicarbonate of soda into a large bowl and stir well.
Make a well in the middle and pour in the milk mixing quickly to form a nice soft dough.
On a lightly floured surface kneed the dough for maybe a couple of minutes.
Form into a round flatish ball shape and place onto a lightly floured baking tray.
Score or cut a cross on the top and bake for around 30 minutes or until the loaf sounds hollow when it's tapped.
Cool on a wire tray and enjoy:-)
