This is mom�s recipe for Pumpkin Cake
Sift flour once, measure, add salt, soda, baking powder, and spice & sift again. Add nuts. Combine oil, pumpkin, sugar, and eggs beating well with a rotary beater until well blended and light. Add dry ingredients and beat well.
Pour into a well greased 10-inch tube pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for approximately 1 hour, or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve plain or with any desired frosting. I like Aunt Mary?s recipe below for the frosting.
