Servings
Original recipe makes 8 Servings
2 cupsflour
2 teaspoonsbaking powder
2 tablespoonsConfectioners Sugar
1 tablespoonVegetable oil
2 cupsmilk
3 Eggs; separated
2 teaspoonsVanilla
1 pinchsalt

Belgian Waffles Preparation

First, mix the flour, baking powder, confectioner's sugar, vegetable oil, milk and egg yolks together to make the batter. Then, beat the egg whites and salt together until it forms stiff peaks. Add the vanilla to the egg whit mixture. Next, fold the eggs whites into the batter. It might appear lumpy at first, but keep folding in the egg whites until the batter is smooth. Finally, pour about one-fourth of the mixture into the waffle press and cook for about three minutes. This recipe makes four whole waffles, eight servings of half of a waffle.
