A basic miso recipe which can be embelished with seaweed, carrots, mushrooms, shrimp, chicken, noodles or anything you think will taste good in miso.

In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine dashi granules and water; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium, and whisk in the miso paste.
Stir in tofu and green onions.
