Ingredients
| nonstick cooking spray |
| 1 Egg; slightly beaten |
| 1 Egg white; slightly beaten |
| 3/4 cupFat free milk |
| 1 tspVanilla |
| 1/8 tspGround cinnamon |
| 8 slicesFrench bread; 1/2 inch slices |
| Syrup |
| 1/4 tspOrange zest; finely grated |
| 1 TbspHoney |
| 1 tspCornstarch |
| 1/8 tspGround cinnamon |
No-Fry French Toast Preparation
1. Lightly coat a large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray; set aside. In pie plate combine egg, egg white, milk, vanilla, and 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon. Soak bread slices in the egg mixture about 1 minute on each side. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
2. Bake in a 450 degree oven about 6 minutes or until bread is lightly browned. Turn bread; bake for 5-8 minutes more or until golden brown.
3. Meanwhile, for orange syrup, in a small saucepan stir together orange peel, orange juice, honey, cornstarch, and 1/8 tsp cinnamon. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.
4. Serve toast with orange syrup.
