2 tbFlour
2 tsWorcestershire Sauce
2 tbBrown sugar
1 lgOnion; diced
1/4 tsPepper
4 tbVegetable oil
3 lbTrout; or bass (6 pieces)
1 1/2 cBeer

Trout or Bass in Beer Sauce Preparation

In a large skillet, saute diced onion in hot oil until it becomes translucent. Add flour to onions and, stirring constantly, cook for 2 minutes. Add beer, brown sugar, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce to skillet and heat until sauce thickens. Stir constantly. Carefully place fish pieces in skillet. Cook until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Sorry, but this dish was disaster - the sauce came out thick & greasy. Perhaps cutting back on the flour would help, but I'm disappointed.

This was a very tasty sauce to go with the trout. If I had to complain, it would be over the vague cooking time for the trout itself.
