Suggest a better description1) In a large bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
2) In another bowl, lightly beat an egg. Use a fork to combine egg, milk, and oil. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened (batter should be slightly lumpy).
3) Grease a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
For standard-size pancakes, use about 1/4 cup batter per pancake.
For dollar-sized pancakes, use about 1 tablespoon batter.
4) Cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes on each side or until pancakes are golden brown, turning to second side when pancake surfaces appear bubbly and edges are slightly dry.
5) Serve warm with syrup.
