Original recipe makes 8 Servings
2 cupssteel cut oatmeal; not instant
6 -8 cupsWater
1 tspcinaamon
1/2 cupBrown sugar
1 tspVanilla extract
2 Apples; peeled and diced
1 cupRaisins
1/2 cupsWalnuts; chopped

Crockpot Steel Cut Oatmeal Preparation

Spray corckpot with nonstick cooking spray. Put in first seven ingredients (throiugh raisins) in the crockpot and cook on low for 6 -8 hours. Top with walnuts and more brown sugar if desired before serving.

Notes

Use 8 cups of water if you would like to cook the oatmeal for 8 hours. Use 6 cups for 6 hours cooking time.
