Preheat oven to 350F. Butter a 1.5l baking pan. Place sliced apples in pan
sprinkle with cinnamon, salt and liquer. (If desired, replace liquer with
apple juice or water). Rub together the sugar, flour and butter. This must
be crumbly, not smooth. Sprinkle over the apples. Bake, uncovered about 40
minutes.
