This not too sweet, not too sour, freshly squeezed lemonade is a great way to quench a summers day thirst!!
Always wash your fruit before preparing.
Heat 2 cups of water in microwave or sauce pan and pour in sugar, stir until dissolved. Set aside.
Cut each lemon in half and use either a lemon squeeze or a juicer until you collect 2 cups (16 ounces) of lemon juice and pulp. Remove any seeds.
Pour the prepared sugar water, lemon juice, and remaining water into a 2 quart pitcher and stir.
Serve over ice and garnish with a lemon slice.
Heating the water before stirring in the sugar helps the sugar dissolve easier!!
You can use the lemons for zest in other dishes!!
2 cups = 16 fluid ounces!!
A citrus juicer works great!! (no need to squeeze)
Cutting a slot half way through your lemon garnish makes for a better looking garnish!!
