| 1/4 cupWorcestershire sauce |
| 1/4 cupstick margarine |
| 2 tablespoonsBrown sugar |
| 1 teaspoonCayenne pepper |
| 1/2 boxrice chex |
| 1/2 boxcorn chex |
| 1/2 boxwheat chex |
| 1/2 boxQuaker oatmeal square; brown sugar flavor |
| 1/2 packagepretzels; optional |
| 1 bagmicrowave popcorn; optional |
| mixed nuts; optional |
Firecracker Chex mix Preparation
Melt first 4 ingredients in a saucepan over low heat.
In a very large bowl, combine cereals, pretzels, popcorn, and nuts (if using).
Pour melted sauces over cereal and mix well.
Pour onto 2-3 large cookie sheets.
Bake at 300 for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and stir. Return to oven and bake an additional 15 minutes.
Pour cereal onto paper towels to cool.
Notes
The mix can be stored in a ziploc bag in the refrigerator and will keep well. It also freezes great.
