Original recipe makes 8 Servings
1 tablespoonYeast
1/2 cupWater
1 teaspoonSugar
1 1/4 cupsFlour
1/2 teaspoonSalt
1/2 tablespoonSugar
2 tablespoonsOlive oil
1/2 jarPizza Sauce
1/2 packagePepperoni
Onion; chopped
Green pepper; chopped
Fresh mushrooms
Black olives
Green Olives
Banana Peppers
7-8 ouncesMozzarella; shredded
Cornmeal

Homemade Pizza Preparation

Makes one 12" pizza.

In a mixing bowl, add yeast, water, and 1 tsp. sugar. Mix and let stand for 5 minutes. Add flour, salt, sugar, and olive oil. Mix well. Place bowl in pan of warm water or place bowl in warm oven and let rise for 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle large cast iron skillet or 12" pizza pan with cornmeal. Press dough into pan. Spread pizza sauce over dough. Add toppings as desired. Bake at 400 for about 20 minutes or until browned and cheese is melted.
