Made with Turkey sausage, really good
Preheat broiler.
Arrange sausage on baking sheet. Broil 5 minutes on each side until done. Remove pan from oven (do not turn off broiler). Cut sausage into 1/4 inch thick slices. Arrange slices in single layer on sheet. Broil additional 2 minutes, until browned.
Cook pasta according to direction on package, omit salt. Drain.
Place tomatoes in food processor; process until almost smooth. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add crushed red pepper and garlic; saute 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes, sugar, and salt; cook 4 minutes until slightly thick. Add sausage and pasta to pan, toss well. Top with fresh basil and cheese.
