This was a recipe I found in a magazine. It was called Neverland Cookies most likely because it called for Peter Pan Peanut Butter. However, please buy the name brand items for this recipe so it ends up tasting like mine.
I have given the recipe to others who say they don't turn out like mine. I found out they bought different name brand or generic items.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Blend the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a small bowl; set aside. Place peanut butter, unsalted butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
Beat butter-sugar mixture until really creamy win an electric mixer. Add eggs and mix until well blended. Gradually add flour mixture about 1/3 of mixture at a time and then blend well for each addition. Use wooden spoon to stir in morsels.
Drop batter by rounded tables spoons on an ungreased cookie sheet, 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 15-16 minutes. Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet, remove to wire rack and cool completely.
Tip: Since the cookies cool on cookie sheet, don't over bake the cookies as they will continue to cook on the cookie sheet. This avoids burning bottom of cookies. Also, I found if you have a really good heavy cookie sheet and one thinner one, you can use the heavier one on the bottom rack and the thinner one on the middle rack. This gets the cookies done in half the time.
