Spring Salad with Strawberries and Balsamic Vinaigrette
|3/4 cupolive oil|
|1/4 cupbalsamic vinegar|
|pinch; of paprika|
|1 teaspoonfresh garlic; finely minced|
|1/4 teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper|
|1/4 teaspoonkosher salt|
|1/4 teaspoonWorcestershire sauce|
|1/8 teaspoondry mustard|
|3 tablespoonminced red onion|
|10 oz.fresh mixed ~quotemesclun~quote or spring lettuce|
|1 quartstrawberries; cleaned, hulled and sliced|
|1 - 2 hard-boiled eggs; chopped|
|1/4 cupslivered almonds|
|1/4 cupcrumbled blue cheese|
|1/4 cupfresh bacon; fully cooked/browned and then chopped/crumbled|
Spring Salad with Strawberries and Balsamic Vinaigrette Preparation
1.With a mason jar, shake together the honey, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, paprika, Worcestershire sauce; dry mustard, salt, pepper, and red onion. Blend well until smooth.
2.In a large bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries, chopped eggs, almonds, crumbled cheese, and bacon.
3.Pour vinaigrette over salad, and toss.
