Original recipe makes 1 Servings
1 cTur gram; (toor or toovar
1 tbVegetable oil
1 Sprig curry leaves
1/2 tsPeeled broken black gram
1 tbChilli powder
2 Green chillies
Salt; to taste
1 tsCumin seeds
1 Onion
1/2 tsBlack mustard seeds
4 Rips tomatoes

Tomato Dal (Tomato Pappu) Preparation

1. Boil tur gram and keep aside. 2. Chop tomatoes, onion and green chillies. 3. Fry cumin seeds, mustards seeds, black gram and curry leaves. Add onion and green chillies. After a minute, add tomatoes. 4. Add tur gram, half a glass of water, salt and chilli powder. Cook until thick.
