Asian Lettuce Wraps
|16 Boston Bibb or Butter Lettuce Leaves|
|1 poundLean Ground Beef|
|1 tablespoonThai Seasoning|
|1 tablespoonCooking Oil|
|1 largeOnion; chopped|
|2 clovesFresh Garlic; minced|
|1 tablespoonSoy Sauce|
|1/4 cupHoisin Sauce|
|2 teaspoonsPickled GInger; minced|
|1 tablespoonRice Wine Vinegar|
|1 tablespoonAsian Chili Sauce|
|2 teaspoonsDark Sesame Oil|
|4 cupsJasmine Rice; cooked|
|2 largeCarrots; julienned|
Asian Lettuce Wraps Preparation
Rinse whole lettuce leaves and pat dry, being careful not tear them. Set aside.
In a medium skillet over high heat, brown the ground beef in 1 tablespoon of oil, stirring often and reducing the heat to medium, cook the onion in the same pan, stirring frequently. Add the garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, vinegar, and chile pepper sauce to the meat and onions, stir. Add the sesame oil just before serving with rice and julienned carrots.
