Green Beans Supreme
|1/2 poundBacon; 1 inch pieces|
|10 Green onions; chopped|
|2 clovesGarlic; pressed|
|1/2 poundFresh mushrooms; sliced|
|3/4 cupAlmonds; blanched|
|1 1/2 cupCheddar cheese|
|1 cupLight sour cream|
|1 poundfrozen whole green beans|
|1 canfrench fried onions|
Green Beans Supreme Preparation
Stir together 3/4 cup cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, dill, sugar and salt. Set aside. Cook bacon pieces in frying pan until browned, but not crisp, remove and drain on paper towels palced in casserole dish you will be using.
Saute onions, mushrooms, almonds and garlic in 3 tablespoons of bacon grease. Remove from heat and add sour cream mixture. Add bacon, drained green beans, croutons and french fried onions.
Wipe inside of casserole with the paper towel you drained the bacon on. Spoon mixture into the greased casserole.
Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and return to oven until just melted.
