Homemade is the best way to go! As a young wife, I found this recipe in the Custer County Home Extension Council 1989 Cookbook. This cookbook was given to me at one of my bridal showers.

| 2 cupsFlour |
| 2 1/2 teaspoonsBaking powder |
| 1 teaspoonSalt |
| 3/4 cupWater; lukewarm |
| 1 tablespoonShortening |
Flour Tortillas Preparation
Stir all ingredients together except shortening. Knead in shortening. Divide dough into 8 parts and roll thin on a floured board. Fry on a hot dry skillet 15-20 seconds on each side.
Notes
For wheat tortillas change flour to 1 cup white flour and 1 cup wheat pastry flour.
