Bring all ingredients to a full boil and simmer for about 1/2 an hour......add to prepared jars and cover with lids. Do not can. This will stay good in the fridge for about a month or so.
*Note* You are adding the apple grated. Make sure you squeeze out as much of the apple juice as you can. The point of using the apple is to add a bit of pectin to the jam.
Enjoy the jam.....I'm also using canned here because I live in a place where you cannot find fresh cherries. I wish I could though.
