"Great recipe. I did add a few extra. About 1tsp paprika a pinch of italian seasoning and a sprinkle of garlic powder. Also I didnt have margerine so I used butter. Served over white rice. Came out great. My fam loved it. Thanks for the post. Def make again"

1/2 stick margarine
2 tb olive oil
2 Garlic; minced
1 1/2 lb shrimp; shelled
3 tb Tequila
1 1/2 tb Lime juice
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Chili powder
4 tb cilantro; Coarsely chopped fresh

Original recipe makes 9 Servings



Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Heat margarine and oil in a large skillet over a medium heat. Add garlic and shrimp; cook about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in tequila, lime juice, salt, and chili powder. Cook 2 minutes more or until most of the liquid is evaporated and shrimp is pink and glazed. Add cilantro.

Serve over hot, cooked rice, garnished with lime wedges.

My husband loved this! I served it on top of white rice and it was gone very quickly! Added a little bit of paprika and the flavor was spot on!
