Great side dish!

"Great recipe, just as I remember my mom making.
To make it more diabetic friendly I substituted canned
sliced carrots instead of kidney beans & used Splenda
instead of sugar, (a little less). Still great tasting!"

Ingredients

1 can yellow beans
1 can green beans
1 can kidney beans
1/2 Cup sugar
2/3 Cup vinegar
1/3 Cup salad oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 green pepper; chopped; optional
1 onion; chopped; optional

Original recipe makes 6

Servings  

Preparation

Drain kidney beans. Pour liquid from beans to wash over kidney beans. Cover beans with mixture of sugar, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Add pepper and onion, if desired.
