3/4 tsp Salt
1 1/2 tsp Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
2 1/4 cups All purpose flour
1 1/8 cup Crisco; Measure by displacement
2 Eggs
4 1/2 Tbsp Milk
Apples
9-10 Granny Smith Apples; Peeled and sliced
Streusel Topping
1 1/8 cups Sugar
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
2 1/4 Tbsp All purpose flour
3 Tbsp Butter; Room temperature

Preparation

CRUST:

Mix dry ingredients first

Cut in shortening

Mix wet ingredients together (milk and eggs) and add after shortening has been cut in. Don't over mix.

Pat down crust in oiled pan with wax paper or sandwich bag to avoid sticking.

APPLES:

Cover the crust evenly with apples

STREUSEL TOPPING:

Do not melt butter

Mix dry ingredients first

Mix butter and dry ingredients by hand

Should have a crumbly consistency

Sprinkle over apples evenly

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes

Enjoy fresh from the oven!
